Scheduling professional headshots for an entire team can feel like a lot to coordinate. Between everyone’s schedules, deciding what to wear and making sure the finished images look consistent, there are quite a few details to consider.
The good news is that your employees don’t need to know how to pose or be comfortable in front of a camera before I arrive.
That part is my job.
I photograph professional headshots for businesses throughout the St. Louis area and one of my goals is to make the process as simple as possible for both the company organizing the session and the people being photographed.
Here are a few things that can make your company headshot day run smoothly.
People are much more comfortable when they know what is happening.
Before your session, let employees know approximately how much time they will need and where the photographs will take place.
I guide each person through posing, expression and positioning so employees do not need any photography experience or preparation beyond showing up ready to be photographed.
You do not necessarily need everyone wearing identical clothing to create consistent headshots.
For most businesses, I recommend clothing that reflects what employees would normally wear when meeting a client or representing the company.
Solid colors and simple patterns generally photograph well. Employees should avoid anything that makes them uncomfortable or feels completely different from how they normally present themselves professionally.
The goal is polished and professional while still looking like the person in the photograph.
Consistency matters when headshots appear together on a company website, LinkedIn or marketing materials.
Before the session we can discuss background, lighting and the overall look you want for your company.
That means employees can still have individual personalities while the finished photographs look like they belong to the same organization.
For companies with several employees, bringing the photography setup to your office can often be the easiest option.
I can create a professional headshot setup at your business which allows employees to rotate through without everyone leaving the office.
For individuals and smaller sessions, studio headshots are also available at my Wentzville studio.
Employees change and companies grow.
Having a consistent photography style established makes it much easier to photograph new employees later without your About or Team page looking like everyone was photographed by a different photographer.
Professional headshots can also be used beyond the company website including LinkedIn profiles, speaking engagements, press releases, proposals and marketing materials.
Whether you need one updated professional headshot or consistent images for an entire company, I offer business headshots both in studio and on location throughout the St. Louis area.
My goal is to make the experience comfortable, efficient and easy while creating photographs that feel professional without feeling stiff.
